TOUT SWEET.

One of my favorite quiet place to take a break in San Francisco is Tout Sweet in Macy's. They sell different kind of pastries and the space is really nice. I'm just a bit disappointed that they stopped to cook the pain au chocolat. They were super good. Anyway the cookies are excellent!

LOUESA IN HAYES VALLEY.

Last week I made a little walk in Hayes Valley. And for the very first time I entered into Louesa. It's a wonderful little store where you absolutely want to buy everything.
What I liked the most in there were the flowers everywhere. In fact Louesa Roebuck, the owner, is also a talented florist. If you want to see some of her creations you should check her website: Louesaroebuck.com and if you want to buy original gifts you should visit her store on Laguna street. Enjoy!

INTERVIEW.

Julia Blasselle
Student, Apartment, San Francisco

Give us an introduction on where you come from and how you arrived in San Francisco.
I come from Le Perreux, a town located in the suburb of Paris. After my 21st birthday, I decided I wanted to travel and see something else. I found out that being an Au Pair was a good way to visit new places, get some money and some experience taking care of children. I arrived in San Francisco in February 2007 and was hosted by an American/French family.

Describe San Francisco in 3 words.
Colorful, Open-minded, Green.

What's you favorite place to eat in San Francisco?
I don't go out too much and prefer cooking at my place but a place I enjoy eating is Super Duper. They have yummy burgers.

What's your favorite spot to relax in San Francisco?
A place I like to go to relax is Sutro Heights Park, the north part of Ocean beach.

Where do you shop for your home decoration?
For home decoration, I enjoy shopping on Valencia and Mission street. Divisadero street has also cute shops.

What’s your favorite obejct at home?
My favorite object at home is probably my mushroom lamp!

SCHINDLER HOUSE - LOS ANGELES.

We visited L.A. in 2011 for Christmas and I really liked this indoor-outdoor living space. The Schindler house was conceived by the architect Rudolph Schindler (1887 - 1953). It is an excellent introduction to the modernist style that came to dominate South California. It's an open floor plan house, with a flat roof and glass sliding doors. It was considered avant-garde back in the 1920s.
The little story I like the most, is that in summer, people slept out in the open room (last picture).
